I want stable character voice, memory that survives a longer session, and controls that do not fight the user. A strong result also needs clear limits, not surprise refusals after the app implies otherwise.
I do not reward a tool just for being permissive. I score whether it is coherent about its rules, useful for the kind of roleplay or companion use it claims, and honest about what unlocks on paid access.
Clumsy navigation, intrusive paywalls, weak session memory, and chats that feel fine for a minute then collapse into repetition. On mobile, small friction points stack up very quickly.
